THE LAST COZY HOME REBUILTFifteen years ago, we created a Rivendell environment that became a success among collectors worldwide. It went out of production a long time ago, but demand never subsided. As people kept asking for it, we decided to bring it back, but improved.REBUILT FROM SCRATCHThe original molds were beyond repair. We tried to create a 3D scan in the hope of recovering the previous work, but the details were not what we expected. Instead of settling for less, we started from scratch and set out to create the best Rivendell possible.Next, we conducted extensive research and a meticulous exploration of modern manufacturing, testing all available techniques. The result is larger and truer to life than any previous project. The surrounding mountains are more apparent. The landscape and waterways reproduce the films with greater fidelity than ever, while the architectural details achieve a level of fidelity that we consider to be as accurate as possible at this scale.This version also includes the courtyard where the Council of Elrond took place, the place where the Fellowship of the Ring was formed and where the fate of the Ring was decided. This place had never before been physically represented within the extensive Rivendell set, and great care was taken to ensure its precise location. On screen, the valley never had a fixed layout; it changed from shot to shot to adapt to the story. To give realism to our version, we followed one of the first wide shots showing Rivendell in its entirety.This piece transported us back to our origins; to the pursuit of excellence and the refinement of skills.
